Gov. Kefas Pardons 31 Inmates In Taraba
In his New Year’s message to the people of Taraba State, Governor Agbu Kefas declared that he had granted mercy to 31 prisoners in correctional centers throughout the state.
The governor stressed his administration’s steadfast devotion to justice, compassion, and the ability of rehabilitation to transform lives. He also expressed his commitment to the peace, unity, and development of Taraba.
Governor Kefas promised the citizens that he would face and overcome the security challenges that confronted the state. He wished them a happy New Year, pointing out the many prospects and opportunities that awaited the state.

With a view to advancing and progressing, the governor used his power of discretion to pardon inmates who deserved a second chance, highlighting the values of justice, compassion, and the positive impact of rehabilitation.
Reiterating the government’s pledge to serve the people, for the people, and by the people, Governor Kefas vowed to make sure that the benefits of governance reached every citizen in the 168 wards of the state.
Speaking of the constitutional duty of addressing security issues, he emphasized the gravity with which the government handled this matter.
Looking forward, Governor Kefas declared his resolve to intensify efforts in the next months to make Taraba a more secure place for all. He appealed for unity, progress, and joint efforts to surmount challenges, creating a conducive and peaceful atmosphere for the state to flourish.
As the people started a new phase, the governor encouraged them to cooperate for the improvement of Taraba, stressing the significance of unity in attaining mutual prosperity and progress.
