Criminals have seized control of Nasarawa – PDP group cries out
A faction within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State has expressed apprehension over the worsening security situation in the state, labeling it a refuge for criminals.
Led by Shuaibu Danladi, the head of Karu PDP Concerned Members, the group censured the state government for what it perceived as an inadequate response to the security issues afflicting the area.
Danladi, in a released statement, claimed that Nasarawa State has become susceptible to insecurity, resulting in a surge of criminal incidents.
The faction argued that the government’s failure to effectively address security challenges has left both citizens and residents living in constant fear.
The statement emphasized the pivotal role of the government in ensuring a secure environment for peaceful living and thriving businesses.
Shuaibu, representing the concerns of the PDP members, raised doubts about the government’s effectiveness in addressing the prevalent problem of kidnapping.
He lamented the disturbingly frequent occurrences of residents being abducted, killed, and robbed on a daily basis, deeming the situation untenable.
Furthermore, the statement highlighted that the escalating criminal activities have transformed Nasarawa State into a breeding ground for children without parents.
