Tragic Nightclub Carnage: Gunmen Unleash Horror in Anambra, Leaving Multiple Lives Lost
Gunmen allegedly shot and killed individuals at a nightclub in Anambra, specifically in Oba, Idemili North Local Government Area.
The incident took place at Porsche Nightclub. While specific details about the attackers on Sunday night are scarce, a source named Chukwuemeka Ezefunamba revealed that the gunmen aimed to abduct the club owner.
However, security personnel at the club reportedly thwarted their attempt.
Due to the opposition they faced, the armed assailants began firing indiscriminately, resulting in the death of numerous individuals.
Additionally, they reportedly decapitated a security personnel who resisted their efforts to abduct the nightclub owner.
DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, the spokesperson for the Anambra State Police Command, was unable to verify the incident. He assured that he would conduct an investigation and provide a response to this news outlet.
In a previous incident, Akwa Okuko, a nightclub proprietor and well-known traditional healer, had faced an attack months ago in the identical community.
Subsequently, he admitted to willingly turning himself in to prevent potential unintended harm that might have occurred if he had resisted. There were rumors suggesting that he paid a sum exceeding N400 million to secure his release.
