The accreditation process for the Peoples Democratic Party’s primary election in Ondo State has commenced, according to The Nation’s report on Thursday. This primary aims to select the opposition party’s candidate for the forthcoming November gubernatorial election in the state.
At the International Culture and Event Centre (Dome), the exercise will involve 627 delegates choosing the party’s gubernatorial flag-bearer. Among the seven aspirants vying for this position are notable figures such as Agboola Ajayi, a former deputy governor of the state; Chief Olusola Ebiseni, a former Secretary-General of the pan-Yoruba socio-political association; Kolade Akinjo, a former member of the House of Representatives; and John Mafo, a former Commissioner for Information.
Also in contention are Adeolu Akinwumi, Bamidele Akingboye, and Bosun Arebuwa, all seeking to secure the party’s nomination for the upcoming gubernatorial race.
