In November, Kaduna Fire Service reported 33 fires, causing one death

The Kaduna State Fire Service has reported 33 instances of fire outbreaks and one fatality in November throughout the entire state.

Mr. Paul Aboi, the Director of the Service, shared this information during an interview with journalists in Kaduna on Tuesday.

Aboi noted that the Service successfully rescued four individuals, while four others suffered injuries during these incidents.

He emphasized that the Service managed to preserve property valued at approximately N963 million, although property amounting to N406 million succumbed to destruction during the same period.

Attributing the outbreaks to carelessness and improper usage of electrical appliances, Aboi urged residents to adopt preventive measures to mitigate the risk of fire disasters.

In response to these challenges, he disclosed that the Service has taken proactive steps to curb fire outbreaks. This includes the introduction of a comprehensive initiative focused on fire prevention inspections and the initiation of a process to renew fire safety certificates for business premises across the state.
