Wizkid achieves a historic milestone as the first Afrobeats artist to headline the Soundstorm Music Festival in Riyadh. Despite being in Nigeria for his mother’s burial, he departed for Saudi Arabia on December 13, 2023.
The “Soundstorm Festival” is the largest regional event in the Middle East and began on Thursday, December 14, 2023, boasting a massive attendance capacity of 700,000.
In video footage circulating online, Wizkid’s Thursday night performance at the festival enthralls the audience with his energetic stage presence and melodic tunes.
Wizkid treated the crowd to some of his hits, including “Essence,” “Ginger,” “Joro,” and “Samba,” prompting fans to express their love by singing along word for word.
