An explosion in Kidandan village, Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State, on Saturday resulted in the injury of at least 10 children. The incident took place as the children were playing with an object they found in a nearby bush, suspected to be a bomb. The object exploded while the children were handling it.
The village head, Alhaji Abubakar Ruka, verified the occurrence and reported that the injured children were promptly taken to Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital and Shika Hospital in Zaria for medical treatment.
