Nigerian singer Timaya, born Inetimi Alfred, has disclosed his past battle with drug addiction during an interview with The Beat 99.9 FM, Lagos.
Speaking on the station’s Instagram account, he revealed that his struggle started during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown. Introduced to Molly, a synthetic drug, by youths in his vicinity, Timaya initially found solace in it but soon faced adverse effects such as weight loss and financial hardships.
