Child Strangles Friend During Football Match in Lagos

In the Ejigbo area of Lagos State, tragedy struck as a 10-year-old boy named Israel reportedly strangled his friend, Ezekiel, during a football match in the community. The incident occurred on Friday, casting a shadow over what was meant to be a simple game among children.

According to the information gathered, the match took a dark turn when an argument erupted between Israel and Ezekiel. In the heat of the moment, Israel allegedly grabbed Ezekiel by the neck and applied pressure until the young boy lost consciousness and ceased breathing.

Upon receiving a report of the incident, authorities from the Ejigbo Division promptly responded. Ezekiel was rushed to a nearby hospital, but sadly, medical personnel could not revive him, confirming his passing. Police investigations are ongoing, with Israel currently in custody as inquiries continue into the tragic event.
