Builders in the construction sector have dismissed the accord struck between the Federal Government and cement producers. During the deliberations, it was agreed upon to slash cement prices to a range of N7,000 to N8,000.
Dr. Aliyu Wamakko, President of the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria, voiced his opposition, deeming the reduction detrimental to the economy. He argued, “I believe this isn’t beneficial for our nation’s economy as cement stands as a fundamental component in any construction endeavor.”
