This Extraordinary Summit underscores our collective dedication to regional integration and the pursuit of good governance, peace, security, and socio-economic advancement.

  2. Today, our focus remains on the pressing matters affecting the peace, security, and political landscapes of Niger, Burkina Faso, Guinea, and Mali within our sub-region. We must approach these challenges with unity and unwavering commitment to the well-being of our populace.

  3. The intricacies of these issues demand a comprehensive and collaborative approach. We must engage in constructive dialogue, exercise sound judgment, and work together toward sustainable solutions for lasting peace, security, and political stability. Our roles as leaders in these trying times carry immense weight, and it is only through collective effort and a shared sense of history that we can effectively address these challenges.

Excellencies, Heads of State and Government, Distinguished Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen,

  1. As we convene today, I am acutely aware of the gravity of the issues before us. Yet, I am heartened by the collective determination that defines our ECOWAS community. This summit serves as a critical juncture for us to address regional concerns. We will receive a memorandum from the ECOWAS Commission President, providing updates on the peace, security, and political landscape in the region, specifically in Burkina Faso, Guinea, Mali, and Niger. Our decisions will be guided by our unwavering commitment to preserving constitutional order, upholding democratic principles, and advancing the socio-economic well-being of all citizens in these nations.
