The Nigerian federal government has clarified that the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) is presently not conducting any recruitment activities and has urged citizens to disregard any social media advertisements suggesting otherwise. This announcement came through a statement issued by the Secretary to the Board of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board, Ja’afaru Ahmed, on Saturday.
The Board emphasized that recent recruitment adverts circulating on social media platforms claiming approval for the commencement of the 2024 merit replacement exercise by the Nigeria Immigration Service are false. They caution the public against falling prey to fraudulent schemes aimed at deceiving innocent job seekers.
