Wike Dismisses Public Outrage on Kidnapping as Unnecessary

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has accused politicians of deliberately generating tension and spreading propaganda to exaggerate kidnapping incidents in the capital city. He made these remarks in a video that was initially posted by Symfoni News on their YouTube channel but has since been deleted. Nevertheless, a portion of the video was shared on another platform, X, prior to its removal.

Wike expressed his frustration with politicians who, in his view, are determined to undermine the government by fostering unnecessary panic and disseminating misleading information about alleged incidents. He asserted that these individuals engage in blackmail and are motivated by financial compensation.
