Olatosho Oshoffa, the leader of the Celestial Church of Christ International Headquarters in Ketu, strongly disapproved of the invitation extended to Portable and Pasuma for a performance at a praise night in one of the church branches.
The Celestial Church of Christ, Land of Goshen in Lagos, created a flyer on Wednesday promoting its praise night, featuring Portable, Pasuma, and May Shua.
This announcement prompted a significant response from Nigerians on social media. While some found it disheartening, others questioned whether the house of God was now being used as an entertainment venue.
In response to the controversies on his Facebook page, Oshoffa assured Celestians that he had discussed the matter with the Shepherd in Charge of the concerned parish.
The shepherd has committed to making amendments to the posters and ensuring that the disputed artists, Portable and Pasuma, will not perform on those nights. Oshoffa acknowledged the condemnable nature of the poster and expressed blessings upon the Celestial Church of Christ.
