I haven’t started earning from music yet, says Whitemoney

Whitemoney, the victor of Big Brother Naija Season 6 who has transitioned into a musician, disclosed that he hasn’t been reaping rewards from his music endeavors.

This revelation came to light during his recent interview with BBC Igbo.

In his discussion about his musical journey, the reality star clarified that music streaming has yet to yield significant profits for him.

He stressed the point that although he may not possess what some may consider a ‘fine’ voice, his priority lies in delivering substantial content rather than adhering strictly to conventional norms.

He elaborated on the matter by stating, “In reality, singing hasn’t become a lucrative source of income for me through streaming.

However, I generate revenue from live performances. While my vocal quality may not be the best, I believe in conveying a meaningful message through my music along with a distinctive melody.”

Whitemoney added that he faces criticism from various quarters, including those who are employed to critique him.

He emphasized that his primary objective is not to cater to others’ satisfaction, as they neither support nor finance his musical journey.
