Police in Nasarawa State Capture Fake Soldier Muhammed Halidu in Military Gear. DSP Ramhan Nansel, the police spokesperson in the state, reported on Thursday in Lafia that Halidu, residing in Karu Local Government Area, was apprehended by two genuine military personnel in Awe Local Government Area and subsequently turned over to the police.
Nansel disclosed that the imposter asserted to be a soldier affiliated with the 231 Battalion in Biu, Borno.
“Initial inquiries revealed a contrary truth, indicating that the individual was merely impersonating.
“The investigation uncovered that the suspect had been deceiving unsuspecting individuals, falsely promising to facilitate their recruitment into the Nigerian Army.”
