EFCC Urged to Reform ‘Yahoo Boys’ Into IT Specialists

Mr. Chidiebere Ihediwa, a cyber-security expert, suggests that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) should focus on re-orienting educated online fraudsters, commonly known as “Yahoo Boys,” into information technology specialists.

He advocates for this approach as a more constructive alternative to allowing them to remain in detention or undergo detrimental dissolution. Ihediwa, a distinguished software developer, made this recommendation during an award ceremony held on Wednesday at the Police Officers Mess in GRA Ikeja, Lagos.
