Under its current leadership, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) announced on Friday its intention to reopen the N70 billion money laundering case involving former Zamfara State Governor and Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle.
The commission, led by the acting director of public affairs, Wilson Uwujaren, stated that all high-profile cases left unresolved by the former EFCC chairman, Bello Matawalle, are being reviewed. This announcement came in response to a protest by the Zamfara Alternative Forum (ZAF) at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja.
