Plateau governor’s appeal: Supreme Court reserves judgment on the appeal Case
On Tuesday, the Supreme Court deferred its decision regarding the appeal put forth by Caleb Mutfwang, the Governor of Plateau State.
This appeal pertains to the verdict from a three-member panel of the Court of Appeal, presided over by Justice Elphreda Williams-Dawodu.
According to the Court of Appeal’s decision, Nentawe Goshwe, representing the All Progressives Congress, was declared the victor in the governorship election held on March 18 in Plateau State.
Furthermore, the appellate court directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to retract the certificate of return previously granted to Caleb Mutfwang and instructed the issuance of a new certificate to Nentawe Goshwe.
The Supreme Court’s reservation of judgment implies that the final decision on this matter is yet to be determined.
