The National Bureau of Statistics has reported a significant surge in the average retail price of diesel, rising from N828.82 in January 2023 to N1,153.01 in January 2024.
This data, disclosed in the Diesel Price Watch for January 2024, underscores a notable 39.11% increase over the previous year’s figures. Released in Abuja on Wednesday, the report also reveals a month-on-month rise of 2.34%, with December 2023 registering a price of N1,126.69 per litre.
