A verdict has been reached in the case of bank robberies that occurred in Akure and Idanre back in 2011. Following a trial at the Ondo State High Court in Akure, six individuals have been sentenced to death for their involvement. Among those convicted are a pastor, Adewale Adelu, along with five others: Ikechuckwu Maduagwu, Fayemi Olubusuyi, Ropo Adeleye, Dele Otopka, and Bayo Omotosho.
The crimes in question took place on November 19 and December 8, 2011, at two commercial banks in Akure and Idanre, respectively. The culprits were apprehended by the state police command and subsequently brought to trial.
