The Association of Master Bakers and Caterers of Nigeria has announced plans for a nationwide service strike, starting February 27. This decision stems from the Federal government’s failure to honor the agreement made with the association in 2020.
They demand the prompt implementation of financial aid promised as part of post-COVID-19 support for Small and Medium Enterprises, especially for bakers facing significant membership losses. Additionally, they urge the temporary suspension of all bakery industry taxation at federal, state, and local government levels.
