Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun has ordered the deployment of officers and security equipment on the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway to enhance traveler safety. Egbetokun instructed Deputy IG, Operations, Ede Ekpeji, to closely monitor the security personnel assigned to the route, emphasizing that their presence should deter criminal activities.
The directive was issued in a statement released early Thursday via the Nigeria Police Force’s handle, conveyed by Force Public Relations Officer Olumuyiwa Adejobi from the Force Headquarters in Abuja. The proactive measure aims to reassure citizens and travelers of their safety with an increased security force presence in the region.
