The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is calling on Civil Society Organizations and Non-Governmental Organizations interested in observing the upcoming February rerun and by-election to submit applications through an online portal by January 17. The announcement was made by Hauwa Habib, INEC’s acting Director of Electoral Party Monitoring, in a notice issued in Abuja on Thursday.
Interested organizations can apply by visiting (http://observergroups.inecnigeria.org) and completing the prescribed application form (EC14A(l)), as advised by Habib, who emphasized that this is the sole accepted means of application, irrespective of any prior correspondence with the commission.
