Tinubu Mourns Passing of Former Anambra Governor, Chukuwuemeka Ezeife

President Bola Tinubu expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Chukuwuemeka Ezeife (CON), former governor of Anambra State.

In a statement released on Friday, the president conveyed condolences to the late Ezeife’s family, the people of Anambra, and the state government.

President Tinubu highlighted the significant impact of the late Ezeife on Nigeria’s political landscape, acknowledging his leadership qualities and lamenting the painful loss.

The statement also recognized Ezeife’s noteworthy contributions to public discourse and governance in Nigeria, as well as his role in laying the groundwork for the progress of Anambra State.

As the nation mourns the passing of this distinguished figure, President Tinubu offered prayers for the repose of Ezeife’s soul and urged his loved ones to find solace in the enduring legacy he leaves behind.

Chukuwuemeka Ezeife, the Okwadike of Igbo-Ukwu and former Anambra State governor from 1992 to 1993, passed away at the age of 85 at the Federal Medical Centre, Abuja, as confirmed in a press release issued by Chief Rob Ezeife on behalf of the family.
