The Lagos State Government has reiterated its commitment to the prohibition of styrofoam packs in the state. Producers and distributors are granted a three-week moratorium before full enforcement begins. The state government recently declared a ban on Styrofoam and other single-use plastics.
During a consultative meeting with representatives from the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria and the Restaurant and Food Services Proprietor Association of Nigeria, the government affirmed its stance on the complete prohibition of single-use plastics in the state.
