Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have struck a Celestial Church in Ogun State, seizing two worshippers named Oladapo Seyifunmi and Oluboboye Abiola. The incident unfolded near Oriyarin village, Mowe, situated in the Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State on Thursday.
According to a statement by the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola, issued on Friday, the assailants made their escape through a dense forest located behind the church. The statement further detailed the event, indicating that the gunmen fled the scene after the abduction.
In response to the distressing incident, the Commissioner of Police, Alamutu Abiodun, has been informed and has promptly directed the mobilization of security personnel to pursue the criminals involved in the kidnapping.
