Ighodalo Refutes Allegations of Involvement in Shaibu's Impeachment

President Bola Tinubu expressed his condolences to the families affected by the devastating fire caused by an articulated vehicle carrying petroleum products at the Eleme section of the East-West Road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. In a statement released by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, on Sunday, the president sympathized with the government and people of Rivers State over the tragic loss of lives and property.

President Tinubu also offered prayers for the swift recovery of those injured in the incident and instructed federal agencies in the state to maintain close collaboration with the state government to provide immediate assistance to all victims. He praised the courage and dedication of the first responders in Rivers State for their efforts in aiding those impacted by the accident.

Furthermore, President Tinubu expressed his confidence in the implementation of stricter safety measures governing the transportation of petroleum products to prevent similar tragedies in the future. In a separate gesture, the President’s wife, Mrs. Olufemi Tinubu, extended her condolences to Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State and the families affected by the tragic explosion of the petroleum tanker.
