On Sunday, the Presidency asserted that under the administration of Bola Tinubu, there will be no immunity for anyone implicated in the ongoing probe of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, along with its Social Investment Programmes. The statement was made by Mr. Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, during an appearance on TVC’s Politics on Sunday.
Following the suspension of the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu, on January 7, Tinubu instructed the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to thoroughly investigate all financial transactions associated with the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, as well as any related agencies.
