Rivers Crisis: Fubara launches live band with ‘Dey your dey’ slogan

Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has recently introduced a live band, following in the footsteps of his predecessor,  Nyesom Wike.

The lively musical ensemble made its debut immediately after Governor Fubara’s address at the commencement of the construction of 20,000 housing units in the Ikwere region of the state.

During the performance, the live band echoed the catchy refrain, “Dey your day make I dey my dey, nobody worry nobody,” eliciting excitement from the gathered crowd.

This musical venture comes amidst escalating political tensions in the state. The strained relationship between Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, and Governor Fubara has been a focal point of contention.

Notably, 27 state lawmakers aligned with Wike defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) amid the ongoing power struggle.

In what is perceived as a response to the defections, the state government, under Fubara’s administration, justified the demolition of the state Assembly complex, citing compromised structural integrity.

Additionally, seven Commissioners have resigned from Fubara’s state executive council, adding to the political turbulence within Rivers State.
