Plateau Police Arrest 29-Year-Old for Allegedly Killing Father with Pestle

Joseph Yakubu, 29, was apprehended by Plateau State Police after allegedly using a pestle to fatally strike his father, Yakubu Dalyop, during a dispute.

The incident, which occurred in the Anglo-Jos community, Jos South Local Government Area, left the victim unconscious, leading to his eventual demise.

Yakubu was among suspects paraded by Commissioner of Police Hassan Yabanet on Tuesday at the command’s headquarters in Jos for various offenses.

According to Yabanet, the altercation took place on February 15th around 8 pm, with Yakubu striking his father on the head, causing unconsciousness. The victim was subsequently rushed to Plateau State Specialist Hospital for medical attention.
