Peter Obi Donates N5 Million to Survivors of Tudun-Biri Attacks in Kaduna State
Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, has extended a compassionate gesture by donating N5 million to the survivors of the Tudun Biri error attacks in Kaduna State. Obi personally visited the victims currently undergoing treatment at the Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital in Kaduna.
Expressing his condolences, Obi stated, “I visited Kaduna state to commiserate with the grieving good people of the state on the unfortunate accidental bombing by the Nigeria Army at Tudun Biri village in Igabi Local Government of the State.”
During his visit to the Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital, where the wounded are being treated, Obi prayed for those who lost their lives, seeking divine forgiveness and eternal rest for the departed.
He also prayed for a swift recovery for those still receiving medical attention, extending gratitude to the Kaduna State government for their intervention in supporting the affected victims.
Acknowledging the efforts of the security forces, particularly the soldiers, Obi emphasized the importance of exercising extra caution in their operations.
He raised concerns about the alarming number of mishaps, totaling 16 and resulting in approximately 485 casualties since the commencement of the insurgency war in 2009.
“We need to take every necessary precaution to avoid future occurrences while remaining focused on securing Nigeria,” Obi asserted.
In addition, Obi reiterated the need for a strategic reassessment of national priorities, advocating for the allocation of resources to critical and productive areas that would benefit Nigerians and foster national development.
