NDLEA discovers 100kg of concealed cannabis in Nasarawa school ceiling
In a recent operation prompted by a tip-off regarding illicit drug activities, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) successfully confiscated ten bags of Cannabis Sativa, amounting to a total of 100kg.
The operation unfolded in an undisclosed school situated in Angwan Woje, Lafia Local Government, Nasarawa State.
Acting swiftly upon the received information, NDLEA operatives conducted a thorough search of the school premises and made a startling discovery— the narcotics were cleverly concealed within the ceiling of the educational institution.
To further escalate the gravity of the situation, it was disclosed that the clandestine drug transactions were orchestrated with the complicity of the school’s security personnel. The shocking revelation has raised concerns about the potential infiltration of such illicit activities within educational institutions.
Confirming the success of the operation, NDLEA State Commander Paul Odaudu addressed the media, highlighting that the arrest of one suspect connected to the crime had been made.
The agency remains committed to tackling drug-related offenses and ensuring the safety of communities, particularly within educational environments.
