In recent developments, the Department of State Services (DSS) has refuted claims of holding Miyetti Allah’s President, Bello Bodejo, who was reportedly apprehended by soldiers and DSS operatives on Tuesday. In a brief WhatsApp message sent to journalists, the spokesperson for the DSS, Peter Afunanya, stated unequivocally that Bello Bodejo is not in the custody of the DSS.
Adding to the complexity of the situation, the Nigerian Army’s spokesperson, Brig. Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, expressed uncertainty regarding Bodejo’s arrest by soldiers of the Nigerian Army. This lack of confirmation introduces a layer of ambiguity surrounding the circumstances of Bodejo’s apprehension, leaving questions unanswered about the conflicting reports between the DSS and the Nigerian Army.
