Miss Taiwan 2023 Crowned at Gala Ceremony Showcasing Elegance and Talent
In a dazzling gala ceremony held on Sunday, December 10, Miss Taiwan 2023 was crowned in an event that celebrated elegance, talent, and cultural pride.
The competition, featuring categories such as formal dress, swimsuit, and personal interview, culminated in the victory of Lin Pei-rong (林沛瑢), a second-year student at the Graduate Institute of Performing Arts at National Taiwan Normal University.
Lin Pei-rong emerged triumphant among 14 finalists who had navigated through a series of competitions since September, including preliminary rounds showcasing talent, traditional costumes, and other categories.
The final showdown took place at the prestigious Taipei Hero Hall, where contestants not only displayed their physical grace but also demonstrated their intellect and cultural awareness.
Upon winning the coveted crown, Lin Pei-rong expressed her excitement and gratitude, stating that she has been participating in beauty pageants since high school.
Currently working as an actor and model, Lin emphasized her intention to utilize the title to introduce the beauty of Taiwan to the global stage, representing the nation in international beauty pageants scheduled for 2024, as reported by Liberty Times.
Lin shared her multicultural background, being born in North America and returning to Taiwan at the age of 9. Having attended the University of Toronto in Canada for her undergraduate studies, she returned to Taiwan for graduate school.
