The Kano State Public Complaint and Anti-Corruption Commission announced on Tuesday the reopening of the 10 previously sealed warehouses suspected of hoarding food supplies. Commission Chairman Muhyi Magaji affirmed that owners have appeared and instructed them to open their warehouses and sell to the public.
Consequently, Kano has started experiencing a decline in food prices. Magaji remarked, “The commission’s intervention compelled dealers to release their goods to markets, leading to price reductions.”
