Gov Oyebanji has signed the N159.5bn Ekiti 2024 budget into law

Governor Biodun Oyebanji officially endorsed the 2024 appropriation Bill, symbolizing a significant step towards the realization of his administration’s shared prosperity agenda.

The budget, titled ‘Budget of Sustainable Growth and Development,’ was presented by the Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Adeoye Aribasoye, and other principal officers at the Exco Chamber of the Governor’s Office in Ado Ekiti.

The total estimate for the 2024 Budget stands at N159,572,481,915.51, with a strategic allocation of 56% for Recurrent Expenditure and 44% for Capital Expenditure.

Governor Oyebanji, while underscoring the commitment of his administration, emphasized the readiness to effectively execute the budget, which is envisioned to drive sustainable growth and elevate the standard of living for the citizens of Ekiti State.

During the budget signing ceremony, Governor Oyebanji highlighted the anticipated positive impacts, including the stimulation of economic activities, generation of employment opportunities, and an overall enhancement of the socio-economic landscape in the state.

He further expressed confidence that the budget would enable his government to fulfill its campaign promises and meet its obligations to the people.

Acknowledging the thorough review and preparation undertaken by the Speaker and Members of the House of Assembly, Governor Oyebanji commended the Assembly for its dedication and collaboration in advancing the development agenda of the state.

The presence of the Deputy Governor, Chief (Monisade Afuye), members of the state House of Assembly, and the state executive council underscored the collective commitment to fostering growth and development in Ekiti State.
