The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Felix Morka, affirmed the party’s stance on the recent court order regarding Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje’s suspension as the national chairman. According to Morka, the party will not acknowledge the initial court order affirming Ganduje’s suspension and has thrown its support behind the recent ruling from a Federal High Court in Kano.
Morka highlighted that Ganduje has not been served any summons regarding the initial court order restraining him. He emphasized the party’s position, stating that they stand by the recent ruling calling for a stay of the order and do not recognize the individuals behind the suspension.
The political scenario unfolded after a Federal High Court halted Ganduje’s purported suspension by his ward executives in the Dawakin Tofa Local Government area. The ruling came after Ganduje filed an ex parte motion seeking to enforce his right to a fair hearing, with the respondents including various law enforcement agencies and individuals.
Morka criticized the initial court order, stating concerns about the legitimacy of the plaintiffs and the procedural fairness of the ruling. He clarified that the party has not received formal notice of the order and reiterated that Ganduje remains the national chairman until further legal proceedings unfold.
