Men of the Edo State Police Command nab three individuals, namely Augustine Ikponmwoba (62), Roland Ibizugbe (63), and Blessing Joseph (36), on suspicion of stealing two vehicles during a church crusade in the state. The Commissioner of Police, Funsho Adeboye, disclosed during a weekend parade of suspects that the arrest followed the tracking of a stolen phone, which was given as a gift by one of the suspects to his female friend.
Commissioner Adeboye further explained that the victims, Joy Mordi and Peter Abiwo, reported the theft of their Toyota Camry cars with registration plates MUS 791GA and USL 93AM, each valued at N3.5 million. The vehicles were parked at Garrick Memorial Ground during their attendance at a crusade. However, upon the conclusion of the event, the owners discovered that their vehicles had been stolen from the parking area.
