The National Union of Civil Engineering, Construction, Furniture, and Wood Workers in Kano State commenced a three-day industrial action on Monday.
This strike, starting today as stated by the union, aims to bring attention to its demands. According to a statement by the General Secretary, Comrade Ibrahim Walama, the action was deemed necessary due to the employers’ reluctance to engage in discussions with the union regarding the implementation of the Wage Award agreed upon between the Federal Government and organized Labour.
