Following his triumph at the Supreme Court, Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang expressed gratitude by visiting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Mutfwang credited Tinubu for resisting pressure to interfere with the court’s verdict, emphasizing the President’s commitment to upholding the integrity of the legal process.
In discussions with the media after the meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Governor Mutfwang revealed ongoing efforts to address the alleged injustice against the sacked Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmakers from Plateau State. He stated that both political and legal avenues were being explored to seek redress for the affected legislators. Additionally, the governor highlighted his conversation with the President regarding the issue of insecurity, noting that security forces were actively pursuing those responsible for the recent tragic events that claimed numerous lives during the Christmas period.
