Five Nigerians tragically lost their lives while watching the Super Eagles vs. South Africa’s Bafana Bafana penalty shootout during the Africa Cup of Nations semifinal in Bouaké on Wednesday.
The deceased include APC stalwart Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, Kwara State University Deputy Bursar Alhaji Ayuba Abdullahi, sales representative Mikhail Osundiji, National Youth Service Corps member Samuel, and businessman Osondu Nwoye. The match ended 1-1 after extra time, with both goals scored from penalties during regular time.
