On Friday, a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) helicopter crash-landed and subsequently exploded at the NAF Base located in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State. The NAF spokesperson, Edward Gabkwet, officially acknowledged the incident through a statement.

Air Commodore Gabkwet provided details indicating that the involved aircraft was an NAF MI-35P, which had taken off for a mission targeting oil thieves within the state. Fortunately, all five individuals on board managed to survive the crash with only minor injuries.
