The Senate has decided to delay its resumption of plenary sessions from Tuesday, April 16, to Tuesday, April 23, 2024. This postponement aims to allow for the completion of renovations on the main chambers of the Senate and the House of Representatives, ensuring their readiness for upcoming sessions.
According to an internal communication from the Clerk to the Senate, Chinedu Akubueze, the adjustment was necessary due to unforeseen circumstances. The message conveyed regrets for any inconvenience caused by the change in schedule.
Senators were notified of the postponement through an official correspondence, urging them to mark the new date on their calendars.
