Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, emphasized the importance of public service to the newly sworn-in commissioners, special advisers, and the Head of Service during a ceremony in Akure. He charged them to perceive their appointments as a solemn duty to the people, urging them to prioritize innovative solutions to address the state’s challenges. Aiyedatiwa stressed the need for responsible leadership and called on the appointees to set an example by shunning ostentatious lifestyles.
Addressing the gathering, the governor highlighted the critical juncture at which the state finds itself, underscoring the urgency for effective governance. He urged the newly appointed officials to devise creative policies aimed at alleviating the suffering of the populace, emphasizing the collective responsibility of political leaders to lead by example. Aiyedatiwa also cautioned against undue pressure on the appointees, urging patience and support from the public as they carry out their duties.
In addition to the commissioners and special advisers, the ceremony also saw the inauguration of the new Head of Service, Mr. Bayo Philip. Aiyedatiwa called for unity among the cabinet members and the public service, emphasizing the need for collaboration to achieve the common goal of delivering good governance to the people of Ondo State.
