Nasarawa police pursue kidnappers of LG chairman
The Nasarawa State Police Command is actively investigating the recent abduction of Safiyanu Isa-Andaha, the Chairman of Akwanga Local Government Area. Gunmen were responsible for this criminal act.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, the Commissioner of Police, Umar Nadada, has swiftly mobilized personnel to pursue the perpetrators and secure the release of the kidnapped chairman and another individual.
The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. in Ningo village of Akwanga LG, as reported by Nansel. He emphasized the collaborative efforts of the police with other security agencies in tracking down the kidnappers and ensuring the safe return of the victims.

Nansel urged the public, particularly residents of the affected villages, to provide valuable information that could aid the police in the rescue operation and the apprehension of the culprits.
As previously covered by The DWORLDGIST, Andaha was taken away on Monday night in Ningo village along Andaha-Akwanga Road. The abductors also seized Adamu Custom, a local resident who was with him at the time.
The police are intensifying their efforts to address this alarming situation and bring the perpetrators to justice.
