The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is set to unveil the outcomes of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, with plans in motion for the release. In an upcoming press briefing scheduled for Monday in Abuja, JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, will address the media regarding the release and pertinent issues surrounding it. The announcement follows a notice circulated to journalists in the capital city by Fabian Benjamin, the Board’s Head of Public Relations.
While the anticipation builds for Monday’s release, it’s worth noting that the results slated for unveiling are primarily for candidates who took the UTME in its initial days. However, for others, the wait may extend as the Board emphasizes completing “due diligence” before their results are made public. This delay, as clarified by JAMB earlier, is a deliberate move aimed at ensuring meticulous scrutiny to uphold the integrity and credibility of the results. Issues such as impersonation and mixed biometrics are under thorough review to mitigate any doubts or uncertainties.
The 2024 UTME witnessed an impressive enrollment of over 1.9 million candidates across over 700 Computer-Based Test centers nationwide. Having commenced on Friday, April 19, 2024, the examination is expected to conclude today, marking a significant milestone for aspiring tertiary education students across the country.
