Airline Operators of Nigeria express grave concern over the escalating operational costs driven by aviation fuel prices exceeding N1,300. In a statement released Friday, spokesperson Obiora Okonkwo emphasized the urgent need for government intervention to prevent the potential collapse of multiple airlines.
The fluctuating forex rates and the staggering cost of aviation fuel at N1,300 per litre have severely disrupted operational planning and stability within the aviation sector, according to the airlines.
