Leicester City’s Head Coach, Enzo Maresca, expresses fresh concerns over Kelechi Iheanacho’s fitness for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Maresca disclosed during a pre-match press conference on Friday that Iheanacho is still injured, with ongoing evaluation by the club’s medical team. The Super Eagles, three-time African champions, are set to commence their AFCON campaign against Equatorial Guinea on Sunday, followed by matches against Cote d’Ivoire on Jan. 18 and Guinea-Bissau on Jan. 22 in the group stage.
