Wike may encounter frustration in the APC, as stated by ex-Rep Takori
A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Sani Muhammad Takori, who previously represented Bukkuyum/Gummi federal constituency in Zamfara State, has disclosed that former Governor Nyesom Wike would face frustration and humiliation if he were to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Takori cautioned Wike, who currently serves as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), to carefully reconsider his decision.
Speaking to reporters in Gusau, the state capital, Takori drew parallels with the experience of APC national chairman Abdulahi Adamu, who faced challenges upon assuming his position.
Highlighting the recent defection of 27 Rivers State lawmakers, who are loyal to Wike, Takori expressed concern that Wike might also join the APC, but warned that he would ultimately regret such a move.
Takori emphasized that if the lawmakers later reject the influence of political godfathers, Wike would find himself isolated.
He criticized Wike for contributing to heightened political tension in Rivers State and acknowledged the APC’s efforts to entice him with promises of leadership within the party.
However, Takori strongly advised Wike to remain within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), cautioning that defecting to the APC would expose him to individuals with similar negative traits and potentially lead to regrettable consequences.
